Privacy Policy

In effect from 23 April 2026

This page explains what happens to the data you send through this site's contact form, and what rights you have over it.

> Who is responsible

I'm the data controller: Edoardo Ranghieri, Via Don Minzoni, 31/A, 46026 Quistello (MN), Italia — VAT IT02787060207. For any privacy-related request, write to [email protected].

> What I collect

Only what you submit through the contact form — your name, email address, and the content of your message. Your IP address is used in server memory to rate-limit submissions; it is never written to disk or logged. Nothing else is collected.

> Why I collect it

To read and reply to your message, and to prevent spam and abuse of the form.

> Legal basis

For the contact form: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request) or Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in responding to inbound messages). For rate limiting: Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in keeping the form usable).

> Who sees it

Only me. Email delivery is handled by Resend, acting as a data processor. Resend may process data in the United States under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Traffic to the site is routed through Cloudflare as a CDN and security proxy; Cloudflare may process connection metadata (including IP addresses) in the United States under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

> How long I keep it

Messages stay in my inbox for as long as needed to respond or follow up. You can ask me to delete your data at any time.

> Analytics

I use a self-hosted instance of Plausible Analytics. It sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal data.

> Cookies

This site sets one functional session cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, only if you explicitly switch language using the locale toggle. It stores your language preference for the rest of the browsing session and is deleted when you close the browser. It contains no identifier and is not used for tracking. No consent is required because it is strictly necessary to honor your explicit choice.

> Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Write to [email protected] and I'll act on it.

> Complaints

You can lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Italy that's the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

> Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated. Material changes will be called out on this page.
